1. Introduction
Future Leaders Academy ("FLA") is committed to
protecting the privacy and safety of children using our educational programs.
These Terms and Services outline our compliance with the Children's Online
Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and provide transparency to participating
schools, parents, and guardians regarding how we collect, use, and protect
children's personal information.
2. Scope of Application
These terms apply to all schools, school districts,
educators, and associated parties ("Educational Institutions") that
enroll students in grades 2–6 into the Future Leaders Academy program.
3. Information We Collect
We collect limited personal information from children under
13 only as necessary to support educational engagement. This may include:
- First name or pseudonym
- Grade level
- School and classroom identifiers
- Work submissions (e.g., assignments, drawings, written
reflections)
- Voice recordings or videos if submitted as part of a
project
We do not collect:
- Last names
- Home addresses
- Phone numbers
- Email addresses
- Persistent identifiers (except as required for internal
program operations)
4. How Information Is Used
The information collected is used solely for:
- Delivering and improving educational content
- Supporting student progress tracking
- Facilitating teacher insights and communications
- Creating certificates and badges for student achievements
We do not use children's data for commercial purposes,
advertising, or profiling.
5. Parental Consent and School Authorization
Under COPPA, schools may act as agents for parents to
provide consent for the collection of students' information. Participating
Educational Institutions agree to obtain any required parental consent prior to
student participation.
6. Data Protection and Security
FLA implements robust administrative, physical, and
technical safeguards to protect children's information. Data is stored in
encrypted environments, and access is restricted to authorized personnel only.
7. Data Retention and Deletion
Children's data is retained only as long as necessary to
fulfill the educational purpose. At the end of the school year or upon request
by the Educational Institution, we will delete all personally identifiable
student information.
8. Third-Party Service Providers
We may use trusted third-party platforms to host program
materials, manage communications, and analyze anonymized engagement metrics.
All third-party providers are required to comply with COPPA regulations and our
privacy policies.
9. Access and Review
Parents and legal guardians have the right to:
- Review the personal information collected about their
child
- Request deletion of their child’s information
- Refuse further collection or use of their child’s
information
Such requests can be made through the student’s school or

10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms and Services from time to time.
Educational Institutions will be notified of material changes and given the
opportunity to review them prior to continued participation.

By participating in the Future Leaders Academy, Educational
Institutions affirm that they understand and agree to these COPPA Compliance
Terms and Services and will comply with all applicable parental consent
requirements.
